Home is sold to Bee Gees widow for $5 million
(Miami Herald, July 16, 2006)

Yvonne Gibb, the widow of the Bee Gees' Maurice Gibb, has bought a six-bedroom, 7.5-bath home in Golden Beach.

The home, at 516 N. Parkway St., sold for $5 million or $713 per square foot. At the time of the sale, the listing price was $5.5 million. The original listing price was $6.1 million.

The Mediterranean-style home has 7,014 square feet of living area. The waterfront house, built in 2001, sits on a 17,000-square-foot lot.

With 370 single-family residences, Golden Beach, in far northeast Miami-Dade, has no commercial properties and no high-rise condominiums.

The sellers were Stephen Bloch and his wife, Jill. They bought the property for $2.3 million in June 2001. Stephen is a senior vice president of Morgan Stanley.

The property was on the market for about a year. It had been previously listed as well without any sales taking place. Sue Honowitz of Rusty Stein and Company handled the deal.
