An airplane with the former Bee Gees
member Robin Gibb on-board was forced to break off its trip and do an
emergency landing in Norrköbing (Sweden). Gibb was going to perform at a
birthday party in Mariehamn on the island of Åland, where amongst
others Björn Borg was invited, according to FOLKBLADET (Swedish
newspaper).
It was Friday evening when Robin Gibb's
taxi plane was forced to break of its flight from København (Denmark).
He had left Langelands Festival to perform at the multimillionaire
Anders Wiklöf´s birthday party on the island of Åland.
When the plane was over Sweden the
battery of the plane got overheated.
LANDED AS PLANNED
The problem was considered so serious
that the plane was forced to perform an emergency landing to repair the
dammage. The Taxi Plane company WALT AIR is based in Norrköbing so the
dammage could be quickly fixed.
Robin Gibb could land as planned at the
party in Mariehamn, where a group of famous Swedes were invited. Other
performers were Robert Wells, Martin Stenmarck,
Uno Svenningsson and Loa Falkman.
