:: Warner/Chappell Music Signs Worldwide Publishing Agreement With Barry Gibb
Warner/Chappell Music, Inc. announced today that it
has concluded an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement with music superstar Barry Gibb.
As both leading member of the Bee Gees and the co-writer of the group's remarkable body of
work, Barry has been awarded six Grammys, inducted into the Rock & Roll Halls of Fame
in both the U.S. and Australia, and been a part of one of the best-selling groups of all
time.
Under the agreement, Warner/Chappell will administer the rights to Gibbs' legendary
catalog of hit songs dating from 1967 to the present. The company will explore a variety
of opportunities for Barry's music, including licensing the material for use in films,
television programs and commercials; facilitating publication of printed editions of
Barry's music; pursuing new revenue streams arising from the latest music-delivery
technologies; and, encouraging other artists to record and perform the material.
In making the announcement, Les Bider, chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell Music said,
"We are honored to welcome Barry and his outstanding body of work to Warner/Chappell.
The remarkable breadth and depth of his music presents us with an array of
opportunitiesrelated to his catalog as well as his extraordinary new material. With our

:: Barry Gibb - Michael Jackson Collaboration
Bee Gees
principal Barry Gibb is currently collaborating with Michael Jackson on new material for
an as-yet-undisclosed project, Billboard Bulletin reports. Gibb adds that after 40 years
together as an act, the Bee Gees are taking a brief hiatus "to find ourselves as
individuals." The group celebrated its career with a 2001 Universal studio album,
"This Is Where I Came In," and the retrospective "Their Greatest Hits: The
Record." It might be an anti-war song called "Prayer For Peace" to be

:: Maurice Gibb dies
Maurice Gibb has passed away. He died on January 12 in a Miami Beach hospital. Family
has announced a memorial in his honor. No date yet.
Our condolences, support and all our love to his family and friends. Music has lost one of
the world's greatest recording artists. All of us who loved his music will always remember
Maurice Gibb. He'll go on living in his music.Thank you Mo!

:: Robin Gibb's New Solo Album
Eighteen years after his last solo effort, Robin Gibb has released a new solo album,
MAGNET. The release, intended for January 13, had to be postponed till the 20th for
obvious reasons. January

:: No More Bee Gees: Bee Gees Die with Maurice Gibb
"Robin Gibb said on the UK's GMTV
programme that the death of his brother Maurice would mean the end of the Bee Gees as a
group. He said he would continue working with his brother Barry, but the Bee Gees name
would not be used out of respect to Maurice. "Anything Barry and I do we will do
together, but it'll be as brothers and not under the name of the Bee Gees. That will be
reserved in history as the three of us." He also said, "The music goes on -
Maurice would want that." (Sydney Morning Herald)

Robin Gibb presented the Best Single Award at the Brits Awards, and dedicated
it to Maurice. |

:: Grammy Legend Award for the Bee Gees
The 45th Grammy Award ceremony was held at the Madison Square Garden in New
York. The ceremony's most moving moment came when Robin and Barry Gibb were presented the
Legend Award and they gave it to Adam Gibb, the son of their late brother, Maurice.
Barry and Robin Gibb, who were accompanied by their families and Maurice's in the
audience, received a standing ovation when they walked on stage. Nervous and trying to
control their tears, they made the tribute to the Bee Gees a tribute to their brother and
his family. Their humanity, sincerity and decency touched everyone. (Read more) |

:: Robin Gibb on American Idol
Robin appeared as a judge on the American TV program 'American Idol' (Fox).
The show started with a little tribute to the history of the Bee Gees and went on with the
contestants singing two Bee Gees songs each. The renditions were pretty good and Robin
seemed to enjoy them, especially the version of 'How can you mend a broken heart' by
Ruben, to which he sang along. |

:: Robin Gibb presents Magnet in Spain
Robin Gibb continues promoting Magnet. From June 16 to June 18 he
presented the album in Spain. In an interview published in El Pais, he said Barry
and he will probably go on working under the name Bee Gees. In El Periodico he said

:: Robin Gibb joins Fame Academy
Robin Gibb joins Fame Academy 2 (UK) as a tutor. The programme will be on BBC1 and
BBC3 from July 26.
On August 20 Fame Academy will be dedicated to the Bee Gees and a CD with the 14 songs
performed by the contestants will be released on August 25. The song list: You Should Be

Steve Wright interviewed Robin Gibb on BBC Radio 2: Robin, who said he will be
in the UK until October, presented his new single, 'A lover's prayer,' a R&B version
of My Lover's Prayer with Wanya Morris (Boyz II Me) and Lance Bass (*Nsync). He also
announced he and Barry will continue as the Bee Gees, will sign for Dreamworks and release

Part of the Northeast 18th Avenue will be renamed Brothers Gibb Boulevard. The
connection between NE 18th Av and the Bee Gees is the Criteria studios, which are located
there. Some of the best known Bee Gees songs were recorded at Criteria, where the Bee Gees
made Main course (1975), Children of the world (1976) and Spirits having

:: Award from Unesco
On November 8 Robin Gibb will be presented the Unesco's Pyramide Children Award
in Dusseldorf, Germany. Robin and Dwina Gibb have contributed to several Unesco's projects
over the years (click
here for an instance). He will perform solo and Bee Gees songs at the gala.

:: Maurice Gibb Memorial Park & Commander's Cup
Miami citizens have
approved the renaming of Island View Park the Maurice Gibb Memorial Park. In
April a commissioner had proposed a memorial in the form of a bench and naming of an area
of the park in honour of Maurice, but finally the family proposed the park to be renamed Maurice
Gibb Memorial Park. The question had to be put on the ballot for the November 4
election and has been approved by Miami people.
The paintball world doesn't forget Maurice Gibb, and the NPPL will held the Commander's
Cup in Miami from Nov 7 to Nov 9. This tournament is dedicated to Maurice Gibb, and is
expectedt to become the elite of the Super 7 Paintball events (read

:: Busy Dwina
On October 31st, Robin Gibb and his wife Dwina attended the re-opening of a
brassery in Thame, the Oxfordshire town where they live. Dwina was in charge of re-opening
the restaurant.
In September Dwina was in New York performing selections of her hit radio comedy
series The Gabby Aggies. Apart from holding the title of Patroness of the Order of Bards,
Ovates and Druids, she writes shorts stories and poems, illustrates books and produces

The "Kinder in Not" (Children in Need) Unesco Gala was held in
Dusseldorf (Germany) on November 8. It raised 2,035,000 euro. Robin Gibb attended the Gala

Schumacher, Poland's ex-president Lech Walesa, actors Peter Ustinov and Val Kilmer, singer

Ball - Grandson
- Barry has bought Robin's share of Middle Ear studio.
- He has been working on two new songs for Cliff Richard: How many sleeps (written
by Barry and his friend David English) and I cannot give you my love (written by
Barry and his son Ashley)
- On February 28th he plans to play live with an orchestra at the Love and Hope Ball in
Hollywood, Florida.

Robin was interviewed on BBC5 Live
this afternoon: He confirmed Barry, Yvonne (on behalf of Maurice) and he will get their
CBEs next May. Robin also said he will join Barry in Miami in a month to discuss their
future plans and that Yvonne has initiated a lawsuit for Maurice's death. :: Barry Gibb's grandson
Ashley and Theresa's son was born two days ago, on December 28. The baby
will be named Lucas John Crompton Gibb.
